Record screen video or capture screenshots

Kahlown offers following two ways to spy on your computer screen.

Record Screen Video
Record computer screen video into an AVI file and play it to see what happened on your computer screen all day long. Record screen video using any of the following options.

Smooth Video
Set frame rate

Using smooth video options Kahlown would try to use an optimized frame rate based on your system resources. This option is best if you want to monitor screen for a short period and you don't want to miss a single screenshot.

Record screen video using frame rate that you can set between 1 and 10 frames per second. Kahlown would record those many frames per second and make a video file.

Record screenshots at regular interval
Capture screenshots at a regular interval specified in seconds. Interval is the time between each screenshot that Kahlown would capture. You can configure interval between 1 and 300 (5 minutes) seconds. This option can save lots of system space and still give you enough screenshots to see what happened.

Kahlown captures screenshots and saves into image files on your system so that you can view them later. Kahlown creates a new directory/folder for each day under screenshots folder within Kahlown folder.

Encrypt videos and screenshots to secure them from others.

Kahlown screen spy monitor can encrypt videos and screenshots using Kahlown password that you set on screen to secure these files from others.

You must set password for encryption to work. Same password would be used to decrypt those files. Video player would not play encrypted video and picture viewer cannot display pictures.

Auto Run invisibly at windows start up

Kahlown screen spy monitor can be configured to run invisibly and automatically at windows startup. So Kahlown will start screen recording in hidden mode as soon as computer start and user logs in.

When you configure this software it tries to configure for all users for that system if the current user has access or privileges to configure it for all users otherwise it would configure itself for the current user.

Only the administrator who knows that Kahlown is installed will know that screen is being recorded. User can watch the recorded screen videos and see what happened on the computer screen all day long.

Capture screenshot of all screens (monitors)

Kahlown facilitates its users to configure it to capture screenshot of all screens (monitors) attached to a computer. This options only works when it is configured to take screenshots only (means it doesn't work with video).
Please set following options to capture all screens.

Select "Do Not Record Video" for video options
Check check box for "Capture All Screens"

Please remember all screenshots are stored in Screenshots directory within Kahlown directory.

Password Protection

Kahlown provides password protected access to the software functionality. Only the administrator (who has password) can access the software, screenshots and the video files.
So if somehow anybody find out that Kahlown is installed and is monitoring the screen, he would not be able to access it until he has the password.

Hot Key

Kahlown facilitates its users to be able to set hot key of their choice. Hot key is used to make Kahlown - screen spy visible or invisible. Default hot key is Control+Alt+F10. You don't need to click any button to start and stop screen monitoring. Kahlown screen spy automatically start screen spy monitoring as soon as it goes into stealth mode and stop screen monitoring as soon as it is visible.

Auto pause and resume screen monitoring

Kahlown screen spy will pause screen recording when computer is locked by the user and will resume screen recording as soon as computer is unlocked.

Compress video

Kahlown screen spy monitor can compress video with any of the following codecs to save you more disk space and increase monitoring time.

Xvid Codec
Microsoft Video 1
Windows Media Video 9 (VCM) codec.
No Codec/Un Compressed

Set video quality between 0 and 100 where 0 means extremely low and 100 means highest quality of the video. Save even more disk space using low color depth.

32 Bit Color
24 Bit Color
16 Bit Color

Change/Configure output folder

Configure the output directory and save videos and screenshots wherever you like on your machine.
